At FPCM, participants will embark on a journey through some of the city’s most picturesque and culturally significant landmarks as the routes are carefully designed to provide a mix of scenic beauty and urban charm. Below are the key highlights of what runners will experience.
Cultural, Religious and Historical Landmarks include the world famous Toro Kingdom Palace (Karuzika), Karambi Tombs, Local Markets and Craft Centres, Fort Gerry Portal, as well as St. John’s Cathedral (COU), Virika Cathedral (Catholic) and Kabarole Main Mosque among others
Scenic Routes and Activities including the vast and beautiful Tea Plantations, Tooro Golf Club, Tooro Botanical Gardens, St Leo’s College Kyegobe and Nyakasura School among others
Natural Landmarks include Rwenzori Mountain (Mountains of the Moon), Crater Lakes like Kigere, Nyabikere and Saaka, Amabeere G’anyinamwiru (Caves), Kibale National Park, Sebitoli, Semuliki National Park and Hot Springs among others

The routes are designed with both runners and spectators in mind, offering plenty of viewing spots for locals and tourists to cheer on participants while enjoying the city’s sights.

Full Marathon (42.2 km): For professional athletes and seasoned marathon runners looking for a challenging course.
Half Marathon (21.1 km): Ideal for intermediate runners who want to push their endurance while enjoying the scenic views.
